Take heed from this hadith and understand that fasting while travelling is not necessary or required for us to do so in order to gain any extra reward or benefit from Allah SWT .

The hadith states that fasting while travelling is not considered as righteousness. This means that it is not necessary to fast when one is travelling and it does not bring any extra reward or benefit. This hadith was narrated by Saeed bin Al-Musayyab who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a prominent scholar of Islam. It has been recorded in Sahih collections which are books containing authentic narrations from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Abu 'Abdur-Rahman An-Nasai said that this narration was incorrect and what was correct was the one before it.
