The Joys of Fasting

SUMMARY: Fasting is a form of worship that Allah rewards and it brings joy to the fasting person when they break their fast and when they meet their Lord. The smell of the fasting person is better than musk in Allah's sight.

It was narrated that Abu Saeed said: "The Prophet said: 'Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: Fasting is for me I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Fast during Ramadan with sincerity and faithfulness

EXPLANATIONS:
Fasting is an act of worship that Allah loves and rewards. It brings joy to the one who fasts, both when they break their fast at sunset, as well as when they meet their Lord on Judgment Day. Furthermore, even something as small as the smell coming from a fasting person’s mouth is more beloved to Allah than musk, which is known for its pleasant scent. This hadith teaches us that even our smallest acts can be pleasing to Allah if we do them with sincerity and faithfulness.
