The Blessing of Sahur

SUMMARY: Eating Sahur (pre-dawn meal) is a blessing from Allah.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said; 'Take Sahur, for in Sahur there is blessing"".
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، - نَسَائِيٌّ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً

This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, speaks about the importance of taking sahur, which is the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that there is a blessing in taking sahur and encouraged people to take it.
