Glorifying Allah in Witr Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite certain verses in his witr prayer and would end it with a glorification of Allah.

Ishawq bin Mansur informed us, he said: "Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, that The Messenger of Allah used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One'. And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating his words the third time".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of glorifying Allah during the witr prayer. The Prophet Muhammad used to recite certain verses during his witr prayer and then end it with a glorification of Allah by saying “Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus” three times, elongating his words the third time. This shows us that we should always remember to thank and praise Allah for all that He has done for us. We should also take this opportunity to reflect on our actions and ask for forgiveness if we have done anything wrong or made any mistakes. By doing this, we can show our appreciation for all that He has given us and be thankful for His mercy and grace.
