Glorifying Allah in Witr Prayer

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reciting certain verses from the Quran during his witr prayer and glorifying Allah's name after finishing.

Muhammad bin Bashshar informed us, he said: "Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One'. And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of glorifying Allah's name during witr prayer. Witr is a special type of prayer that Muslims perform at night before going to bed. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite certain verses from the Quran such as "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High" and "Say He is Allah, One". After finishing his prayer he would say "Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus" three times which translates to "Glory be to The Sovereign, The Most Holy". This hadith teaches us that we should always remember and praise Allah even in our daily prayers and activities. We should also strive to recite verses from the Quran as much as possible so that we can stay connected with our faith and remember God's greatness.
