QUICK LESSONS:
Dedicate yourself to prayer and fasting out of love for God rather than obligation or fear

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the practices of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by 'Aishah that she did not know if the Messenger of Allah ever recited the whole Qur'an in one night or spent a whole night in worship until dawn or fasted an entire month apart from Ramadan. This shows us how devoted he was to his faith and how much he valued it. He would spend long hours worshipping Allah and reading His words from the Quran, even though it was not required of him to do so. He also fasted for extended periods outside of Ramadan as an act of devotion to God Almighty. These are all values that we should strive to emulate in our own lives today; dedicating ourselves to prayer and fasting out of love for God rather than obligation or fear.
