Prayer Habits of Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Mother of the Believers told Abu Ishaq that the Messenger of Allah used to sleep for the first part of the night and stay up for the latter part.

It was narrated that Abu Ishaq said: "I came to Al-Aswad bin Yazid, who was a close friend of mine and said: 'O Abu 'Amr, tell me what the Mother of the Believers told you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah '. He said: 'She said: "He used to sleep for the first part of the night and stay up for the latter part'."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ الأَسْوَدَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ وَكَانَ لِي أَخًا صَدِيقًا فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو حَدِّثْنِي مَا حَدَّثَتْكَ بِهِ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَيُحْيِي آخِرَهُ

The hadith narrated by Abu Ishaq tells us about how Prophet Muhammad used to pray. According to this hadith, he would sleep for the first part of the night and stay up for its latter part. This shows us that Prophet Muhammad was very devoted in his prayer habits and was consistent in his worship towards Allah. He set an example for all Muslims to follow, as we should also strive to be consistent in our prayers and worship towards Allah. We should also try our best not to miss any prayers or be lazy when it comes to worshipping Him.
