QUICK LESSONS:
Pray according to what has been prescribed in Islam without adding or taking away anything without valid reason or permission from Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam. It was narrated by 'Abdullah that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed Zuhr with five rak’ahs, and when people noticed this they asked him if something had been added to the prayer. He replied by asking them why they were asking such a question. They then told him that he had prayed five rak’ahs instead of four, so he turned around and prostrated twice as an answer to their question. This shows us how important it is to pray according to what has been prescribed in Islam and not add or take away from it without any valid reason or permission from Allah SWT. We should also be careful not to ask unnecessary questions about matters related to religion as this could lead us astray from its teachings.
