Prayer Etiquette of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ prayed and continued his prayer after two rak'ahs, then performed two prostrations before the Salam and said the Salam.

It was narrated from Ibn Buhainah that: The Prophet prayed, then he stood up after two rak'ahs while he was supposed to sit, and he continued his prayer. Then at the end of his prayer, he performed two prostrations before the Salam, then he said the Salam.
أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى فَقَامَ فِي الشَّفْعِ الَّذِي كَانَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فِيهِ فَمَضَى فِي صَلاَتِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ صَلاَتِهِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the prayer etiquette of Prophet Muhammad. It was narrated from Ibn Buhainah that when the Prophet prayed, he stood up after two rak'ahs while he was supposed to sit and continued his prayer. At the end of his prayer, he performed two prostrations before saying salam. This hadith teaches us that we should follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet in our prayers by performing all its components correctly and with utmost respect for Allah's commands. We should also remember to perform sujood at-tilaawat or prostration for recitation after every four rakaats as it is a Sunnah of our beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ .
