Raising Hands in Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) raising his hands to the highest part of his ears when saying takbir, bowing and raising his head from bowing.

It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah raise his hands until they reached the highest part of his ears, when he said the takbir, when he bowed and when he raised his head from bowing".
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا كَبَّرَ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ حَتَّى بَلَغَتَا فُرُوعَ أُذُنَيْهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to perform salat, or prayer. When he said takbir, which means "God is great", he would raise his hands until they reached the highest part of his ears. He also raised his hands when he bowed and when he raised his head from bowing. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions during prayer and make sure that we are doing it correctly according to Islamic teachings. We should also take care to raise our hands at the right times during prayer so that we can get closer to Allah and receive His blessings.
