The Prophet's Prayer Rituals

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to raise his hands extended when praying, fall silent briefly, and say takbir when he prostrated and when he sat up.

Sa'eed bin Sam'an said Abu Hurairah came to the Masjid of Banu Zuraiq and said: "There are three things that the Messenger of Allah used to do and the people have abandoned; he used to raise his hands extended when praying, and he would fall silent briefly, and say takbir when he prostrated and when he sat up".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic prayer rituals such as raising your hands extended while praying, falling silent briefly & saying Takbir upon prostration & sitting up .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prayer rituals of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It states that the Prophet used to raise his hands extended when praying, fall silent briefly, and say takbir when he prostrated and when he sat up. These are all important aspects of prayer that Muslims should strive to emulate in their own prayers. Raising one's hands is a sign of humility before Allah as well as a way to ask for His blessings. Falling silent briefly allows one to focus on their prayer without distraction or interruption. Saying takbir is an expression of faith in Allah and His greatness during prostration and sitting up after it. All these actions are important parts of Muslim prayer rituals that should be followed by believers today just as they were by the Prophet himself.
