QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings regarding purity and cleanliness; Perform Gusul after becoming purified from a state of Junub; Respect religious laws related to purity and cleanliness.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Hurairah, teaches us that it is not permissible to perform ghusl while in a state of ritual impurity. Ghusl is an Islamic term for the full-body ablution required in order to be considered clean and pure before performing certain acts of worship or engaging in certain activities. A person who has engaged in sexual intercourse or experienced wet dreams must perform ghusl before they can pray or touch the Quran. However, this hadith tells us that it is not permissible to do so while one is still considered junub, which means ritually impure due to sexual intercourse or wet dreams. Therefore, one must first purify themselves from their junub state before performing ghusl.
