QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful about where you perform your ablutions; take care not to contaminate any source of clean drinking water with urine or other impurities; respect nature and environment; maintain purity and sanctity during rituals and practices.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Hurairah, a companion of Prophet Muhammad. The hadith states that it is not permissible to use standing water for performing either ghusl or wudu'. Ghusl refers to the ritual washing of the entire body with water, while wudu’ refers to the ritual washing of certain parts of the body with water. Both are important acts in Islamic worship and must be performed in a specific way. In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad warns us against using standing water that has been contaminated by urine as it would render our ghusl and wudu’ invalid. This teaches us that we should always be mindful about where we perform our ablutions and take care not to contaminate any source of clean drinking water with urine or other impurities.
