Difficult Times of the Companions

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who were in a difficult situation and had to eat leaves from a wild tree until their mouths were injured.

Khalid b. Umair reported: I heard Uqba b. Ghazwan as saving: I found myself as the seventh amongst the seven who had been along with Allah's Messenger . We had nothing to eat but the leaves of Hubla (a wild tree) until the corners of our mouths were injured.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be patient when facing difficulties in life; Be grateful for all that you have; Strive to stay resilient even when things are tough; Follow Allah's commands no matter what happens; Have faith that Allah will help you through your struggles if you remain steadfast on His path.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who faced difficult times during their journey with him. They did not have anything to eat but leaves from a wild tree called Hubla until their mouths were injured due to eating them for so long. This shows us how strong and patient they were in such hard times, as they kept going despite having nothing to eat or drink for days on end. It also teaches us that we should be grateful for all that we have and never take it for granted as Allah can take it away at any time without warning. We should also strive to be patient when facing difficulties in life, just like the companions did during this journey with the prophet ﷺ .
