EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Sa’id and it talks about the obligation of giving charity during the month of Ramadan. It states that one should give a measure called ‘Sa’ which is equivalent to one kilogram of barley as charity. This act is known as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr and it has been prescribed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for all Muslims to perform during Ramadan. It serves as a way for Muslims to help those in need, especially those who are less fortunate than them, and also serves as an act of purification from any wrongdoings or sins they may have committed throughout the year.
