The Causes of Famine

SUMMARY: Famine can occur even with heavy rainfall, as nothing will grow from the earth.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The famine would not break out because of drought, but there would be famine despite heavy rainfall as nothing would grow from the earth.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be aware of the causes of famine; Take steps to prevent it; Have faith in Allah's plan; Help those affected by famine in whatever way possible.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that famine can occur even with heavy rainfall, as nothing will grow from the earth. This is because famine is not caused by drought alone, but rather by a combination of factors such as lack of resources and poor soil conditions. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was teaching us to be aware of the causes of famine and to take steps to prevent it. He also taught us that we should be prepared for any situation and have faith in Allah's plan for us. We should strive to help those affected by famine in whatever way we can, whether it be through donations or volunteering our time and energy.
