Expansion of Medina

SUMMARY: The Last Hour will not come until the habitations of Medina extend to Ihab or Yahab.

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger said: (The Last Hour would not come) until the habitations of Medina would extend to Ihab or Yahab. Zubair said: I said to Suhail how far these were from Medina. He said: So and so miles.
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي، صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ تَبْلُغُ الْمَسَاكِنُ إِهَابَ أَوْ يَهَابَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ قُلْتُ لِسُهَيْلٍ فَكَمْ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِيلاً

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the expansion of the city of Medina. It was narrated by Abu Huraira, who reported that Allah's Messenger said that the Last Hour would not come until the habitations of Medina would extend to Ihab or Yahab. Zubair asked Suhail how far these were from Medina and he replied with a certain number of miles. This hadith teaches us that we should strive for progress and development in our lives, as well as in our communities, so that we can reach our full potential and be successful in this life and hereafter. We should also remember to be patient when it comes to achieving success, as it may take time before we can see results from our efforts. Additionally, this hadith reminds us to always have faith in Allah’s plan for us and trust that He will provide us with what is best for us if we remain steadfast on His path.
