Sahih al-Bukhari 1495 (Book 24, Hadith 95) #1434
The Blessing of Charity

SUMMARY: The Prophet (pbuh) taught that charity should be given to those in need, and that it is a blessing for both the giver and the receiver.

Narrated Anas: Some meat was presented to the Prophet (pbuh) and it had been given to Barirah (the freed slave-girl of Aisha) in charity. He said, "This meat is a thing of charity for Barirah but it is a gift for us".
