The Fate of Young Children

SUMMARY: Allah knows the fate of children who die young, regardless of their parents' beliefs.

Abu Huraira reported that Allahs Messenger (way peace be upon him) was asked about the children of the polytheists who die young. Thereupon Allah's Apostle said: It is Allah Who knows what they would be doing.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَطْفَالِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَنْ يَمُوتُ مِنْهُمْ صَغِيرًا فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the fate of young children who die before they reach adulthood. It is reported that a person asked Allah's Messenger about the children of polytheists who die young, and he replied that it is Allah Who knows what they would be doing. This hadith teaches us that regardless of our beliefs or those of our parents, it is ultimately up to Allah to decide what happens to us in life and death. We should not worry too much about what will happen to us or our loved ones in the future, as we can trust that whatever happens will be according to His plan for us.
