The Power of Charity

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of charity and how it can lead to a person meeting Allah's Messenger.

'A'isha, the Mother of the Faithful, reported that Allah's Messenger said: One who has the longest hands amongst you would meet me most immediately. She farther said: They (the wives of Allah's Apostle) used to measure the hands as to whose hand was the longest and it was the hand of Zainab that was the longest amongst them, as she used to work with her hand and Spend (that income) on charity.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the power of charity and its ability to bring one closer to Allah's Messenger. It tells us that those who have longer hands, meaning those who give more in charity, will be able to meet Allah's Messenger most quickly. This is because Zainab was known for her charitable works and her hands were longest amongst them all due to her spending on charity. This hadith teaches us that giving in charity is an important part of our faith and should be done regularly as it brings us closer to Allah's Messenger and ultimately brings us closer to God Himself.
