EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik tells us about how deeply grieved the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was when some of those who used to recite the Quran were martyred. He showed his grief by reciting a special prayer called ‘Qunut’ for an entire month. This hadith teaches us that we should be compassionate and show our sorrow in times of distress and loss. It also shows us that we should be grateful to those who help spread knowledge and wisdom through their words or deeds. We should remember them with respect and honour their memory even after they are gone.
