Be mindful when eating; strive to emulate the example set by the Prophet in all aspects of life; be conscious about hygiene & cleanliness; practice humility & moderation while eating .

The hadith narrated by Ibn Ka'b b. Malik tells us about the eating etiquette of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He used to eat with three fingers, which is a sign of humility and moderation, and he would lick his hand before wiping it clean with a towel or cloth. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our manners when eating, as well as being conscious of hygiene and cleanliness. We should also strive to emulate the example set by the Prophet in all aspects of life, including our behaviour at mealtimes.
