Drinking Nabidh in All Vessels

SUMMARY: It is permissible to drink Nabidh in all vessels, but it should not be intoxicating.

'Abdullah b. Buraida, on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Messenger as saying: I had forbidden you from the preparation of Nabidh except in a waterskin. But now you may drink in all vessels, but do not drink what is intoxicant.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith discusses the permissibility of drinking Nabidh, a type of beverage made from fruits or grains that have been soaked in water and left to ferment for a period of time. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade people from drinking this beverage unless it was prepared in a waterskin. However, he later allowed people to drink it from any vessel as long as it was not intoxicating. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful about what we consume and ensure that our actions are within the boundaries set by Allah SWT and His Messenger ﷺ. We must also take care not to indulge in activities which may lead us astray or cause harm to ourselves or others around us.
