The Wrong of Taking Back Gifts

SUMMARY: It is wrong to take back a gift that has been given.

Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle as saying: One who gets back the gift is like one who eats vomit.

QUICK LESSONS:
Give generously when gifting someone else

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is wrong to take back a gift that has been given. A gift should be seen as something special and not taken back after it has been given. The Prophet Muhammad compared taking back a gift to eating vomit, which shows how disgusting and wrong this act is. We should always remember the importance of giving gifts and not taking them away once they have been presented. We should also remember the importance of being generous with our gifts, as this will bring us closer to Allah and make us better people in general.
