The Life of Hakim b. Hizam

SUMMARY: This hadith tells us about the life of Hakim b. Hizam, who was born inside the Ka'ba and lived for 120 years.

A hadith like this has been transmitted on the authority of Hakim b. Hizam (Imam Muslim) said: Hakim b. Hizam was born inside the Ka'ba and lived for one hundred and twenty years.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ وُلِدَ حَكِيمُ بْنُ حِزَامٍ فِي جَوْفِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَعَاشَ مِائَةً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the life of a man named Hakim b. Hizam who was born inside the Ka'ba and lived for an impressive 120 years! The Ka’aba is a holy site in Mecca that Muslims visit during their pilgrimage to Mecca known as Hajj or Umrah and is considered to be one of the holiest sites in Islam due to its connection with Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael. It is amazing that someone could have been born inside this sacred place and live such a long life! This hadith teaches us that we should be grateful for our lives no matter how long or short they may be because Allah has given us all different lengths of time on this earth according to His will.
