EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith discusses the practice of al-Mutala’inain, which was a custom that existed during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). According to this custom, if a pregnant woman passed away before giving birth to her child, then her son would inherit her and she would also inherit him in accordance with the faraidh or Islamic inheritance laws prescribed by Allah. This hadith serves as an example of how Islam provides for its people even after death through its laws and regulations. It also teaches us that we should always strive to follow Islamic teachings so that our families are taken care of even after we have passed away.
