Sahih al-Bukhari 103 (Book 3, Hadith 45) #103
Accountability and Punishment on the Day of Resurrection

SUMMARY: The hadith explains that on the Day of Resurrection, those who are called to account will be punished if they are argued about their deeds.

Narrated Ibn Abu Mulaika: Whenever 'Aisha (the wife of the Prophet) heard anything which she did not understand, she used to ask again till she understood it completely. Aisha said: "Once the Prophet said, "Whoever will be called to account (about his deeds on the Day of Resurrection) will surely be punished". I said, "Doesn't Allah say: "He surely will receive an easy reckoning". (84:8) The Prophet replied, "This means only the presentation of the accounts but whoever will be argued about his account, will certainly be ruined".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to do good deeds so you can receive an easy reckoning from Allah on the Day of Judgement and avoid punishment.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that on the Day of Resurrection, everyone will be called to account for their deeds and actions in this world. If someone is argued about their deeds, then they will be punished for it. This is because Allah has promised an easy reckoning for believers in (84:8) Surah Al-Inshiqaq verse 8 (84:8). However, if someone's deeds are argued about or disputed then they will not receive an easy reckoning and instead face punishment from Allah. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to do good deeds so that we can receive an easy reckoning from Allah on the Day of Judgement and avoid punishment.
