Entering into a State of Ihram

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) entering into a state of Ihram near a tree when his camel stood up with him.

Salim reported that when it was said to Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) that the state of Ihram (commences from)a al-Baida' he said: Al-Baida', you attribute lie about it to the Messenger of Allah . And the Messenger of Allah did not enter upon the state of Ihram but near the tree when his camel stood up with him.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ - عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ، عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ، قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنهما - إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ الإِحْرَامُ مِنَ الْبَيْدَاءِ قَالَ الْبَيْدَاءُ الَّتِي تَكْذِبُونَ فِيهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مَا أَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ الشَّجَرَةِ حِينَ قَامَ بِهِ بَعِيرُهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) journey to Makkah and how he entered into a state of Ihram. According to this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) did not enter upon the state of Ihram until he was near a tree and his camel stood up with him. This teaches us that it is important to be mindful and aware when we are performing religious duties such as entering into states of worship like prayer or fasting. We should take our time and make sure that we are in an appropriate place before beginning any religious act so that we can perform it properly. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us to be respectful towards those who have knowledge about religious matters as Ibn 'Umar corrected someone who said something incorrect about where one should enter into a state of Ihram from.
