The Place of Ihram for the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not enter into the state of Ihram near Baida, but rather near the mosque at Dhu'l-Hulaifa.

Salim b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported that he heard his father saying: This place Baida' is for you that about which you attribute lie to the Messenger of Allah . And the Messenger of Allah did not enter upon the state of Ihram but near the mosque at Dhu'l- Hulaifa.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a place called Baida and how it was not where the Prophet Muhammad entered into a state of Ihram. Instead, he entered into this state near a mosque at Dhu’l Hulaifa. This hadith teaches us that we should always be truthful and honest in our words and actions, as lying about something as important as this would have been unacceptable to Allah. It also teaches us to respect places of worship such as mosques, which are sacred places for Muslims all over the world.
