QUICK LESSONS:
Observe fasting during the middle days of Shaban

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance and significance of fasting during the middle days of the month, known as Sha’aban. It was narrated by ‘Imran b. Husain, who was a companion to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ asked if he had fasted during this time and when he said no, he instructed him to fast for two days instead. This shows us that it is important to observe fasting during this time as it has been recommended by our beloved prophet ﷺ. It also teaches us that even if we miss out on something important, we should try our best to make up for it and not give up completely.
