The Virtue of Truthfulness and Avoiding Hypocrisy

SUMMARY: This hadith talks about the importance of being truthful and avoiding hypocrisy.

This hadith has been narrated by Qatada with the same chain of transmitters but with one alteration that instead of the word: " hypocrite" (Munafiq), there it is" wicked" (fajir).
وَحَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي حَدِيثِ هَمَّامٍ بَدَلَ الْمُنَافِقِ الْفَاجِرِ
