The Prophet's Forenoon Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not usually pray the forenoon prayer, except when he returned from a journey.

'Abdullah b. Shaqiq reported: I asked 'A'isha whether the Messenger of Allah used to observe the forenoon prayer. She said: No, except when he came back from a journey.
وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَيْسِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى قَالَتْ لاَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَجِيءَ مِنْ مَغِيبِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the forenoon prayer, also known as Salat al-Duha or Duha prayer, which was not usually observed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, it was an exception for him to perform this prayer when he returned from a journey. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our religious obligations and strive to fulfill them even if they are not part of our daily routine. It also encourages us to take advantage of any opportunity that comes our way in order to increase our faith and devotion towards Allah SWT. Furthermore, it reminds us that we should always be grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon us by Allah SWT and use them as an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Him.
