The Prophet's Prayer After a Journey

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not usually pray the forenoon prayer, but he did when he returned from a journey.

'Abdullah b. Shaqiq reported: I asked 'A'isha whether the Messenger of Allah used to observe the forenoon prayer. She said: No, but when he came back from the journey.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take time out for prayers despite being tired or busy; Make sure to pray salat on time even after returning from journeys etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam, and how it should be observed even after returning from a journey. It is narrated by Abdullah b. Shaqiq who asked A'isha whether the Prophet Muhammad used to observe the forenoon prayer. She replied that he did not usually do so, but when he came back from a journey, then he would pray it. This shows us that even after returning from a long and tiring journey, one should still take time out to perform their religious duties such as praying salat or namaz on time. It also teaches us that we should prioritize our faith over worldly matters and make sure to fulfill our obligations towards Allah SWT no matter what situation we are in or how tired we may be feeling at any given moment in time.
