The Power of Concise Words

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was helped by terror in the hearts of enemies and was given words which were concise but comprehensive in meaning.

Hammam b. Munabbih reported: That is what Abu Huraira reported to us from the Messenger of Allah and he narrated (some) ahadith one of which is that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies) and I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُوتِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ
