Take time while reciting or listening to religious texts

This hadith is narrated by Abu Wa'il and it speaks about how one should recite the Qur'an. It explains that one should not recite it quickly like poetry but rather slowly and in pairs. Ibn Mas'ud then mentioned 20 Mufassal surahs including two surahs from the family of Ha, Meem [?] which were to be recited in each rak’a. This hadith emphasizes on taking time while reciting the Qur’an so that we can understand its true meaning and benefit from its teachings. It also teaches us to be mindful when reading or listening to any religious text so that we can gain maximum benefit from it.
