Sahih Muslim 45b (Book 1, Hadith 78) #7343
Loving Your Neighbor As Yourself

SUMMARY: Believing in Allah requires one to wish for their neighbor the same as they would wish for themselves.

It is narrated on the authority of Anas that the Prophet (may peace blessings be upon him) observed: By Him in whose Hand is my life, no, bondsman (truly) believes till he likes for his neighbour, or he (the Holy Prophet) said: for his brother, whatever he likes for himself.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be kind & compassionate towards others; Do good deeds out of love for Allah; Wish well upon others; Forgive those who may have wronged you; Treat others how you want them to treat you; Love your neighbor as yourself

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Anas ibn Malik and it speaks of the importance of loving your neighbor as yourself. It is said that no bondsman truly believes until they have this kind of love for their neighbor. This means that having faith in Allah requires us to treat our neighbors with kindness and respect just like we would want them to treat us. We should be generous and forgiving towards our neighbors just like we would want them to be towards us. The Prophet Muhammad also taught us that if we are able to do something good for someone else then we should do it even if it is not reciprocated because this will bring blessings from Allah upon us.

This hadith teaches us about the importance of being kind and compassionate towards others regardless of whether or not they are related to you or even if you don't know them personally. It also teaches us about the power of forgiveness and how important it is to forgive those who may have wronged you in some way so that you can move on with your life without any bitterness or resentment lingering inside your heart. Lastly, this hadith reminds us that when we do good deeds out of love for Allah then He will reward us greatly for our efforts which will bring joy into our lives both now and in the hereafter inshaAllah!
