Sahih Muslim 40 (Book 1, Hadith 68) #7333
Safety of Muslims

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught that the best Muslim is one who does not harm other Muslims with their words or actions.

'Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As is reported to have said: Verily a person asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) who amongst the Muslims was better. Upon this (the Holy Prophet) remarked: From whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As teaches us an important lesson about how to be a good Muslim in society. According to the Prophet Muhammad, the best Muslim is one who does not harm other Muslims with their words or actions, but instead protects them from any kind of harm or danger. This means that we should always strive to ensure that our words and deeds do not cause any kind of hurt or distress to our fellow believers, whether it be through physical violence, verbal abuse, or even gossiping about them behind their backs. We should also take care to protect our fellow believers from any kind of external threat such as persecution by non-Muslims or oppressive governments and regimes so that they can live in peace and security without fear for their safety and wellbeing. By doing this we are fulfilling our duty as true believers in Islam and showing respect for each other's rights as human beings regardless of race, religion, gender etc., which is essential for creating a harmonious society where everyone can live together peacefully without fear of discrimination or oppression based on differences in beliefs and backgrounds.
