Sahih al-Bukhari 7511 (Book 97, Hadith 136) #7213
The Reward of Patience and Humility

SUMMARY: Allah will reward those who are patient and humble, even if they think they don't deserve it.

Narrated 'Abdullah: Allah's Messenger said, "The person who will be the last one to enter Paradise and the last to come out of Hell (Fire) will be a man who will come out crawling, and his Lord will say to him, 'Enter Paradise'. He will reply, 'O Lord, Paradise is full'. Allah will give him the same order thrice, and each time the man will give Him the same reply, ie, 'Paradise is full'. Thereupon Allah will say (to him), 'Ten times of the world is for you'. "

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of patience and humility. It tells us that even if we feel like we don't deserve something, Allah may still reward us for our patience and humility. The hadith is narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, Allah's Messenger ﷺ tells a story about a man who will be the last one to enter Paradise and the last to come out of Hellfire. He will come out crawling because he feels unworthy to enter Paradise due to its fullness. However, despite his feelings of unworthiness, Allah rewards him with ten times more than what he expected - ten times the world! This teaches us that no matter how small or insignificant we may feel in comparison to others around us, Allah can still reward us for our patience and humility if we remain steadfast in our faith.
