Be punctual in prayers; Respect prayers; Be mindful of your surroundings

This hadith speaks about the timing of when Prophet Muhammad used to perform his 'Asr prayer. It is narrated by Anas bin Malik and Yunus that he would pray at a time when one could reach the outskirts of Medina while the sun was still quite high. This shows us how important it is to be punctual in our prayers as well as how much respect we should have for them. We should strive to make sure that we are praying on time so that we can reap all its benefits and blessings. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us about being mindful of our surroundings; even though it may seem like there is plenty of time left before sunset or before any other event or activity takes place, it is important to be aware of our environment so that we can plan accordingly.
