EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of paying zakat, which is a compulsory obligation in Islam. It was narrated by Abu Huraira, who reported that when the Prophet Muhammad passed away and Abu Bakr became Caliph after him, some Arabs reverted to disbelief. Umar then asked Abu Bakr why he wanted to fight them when the Prophet said that he was ordered to fight people until they say “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah”. In response, Abu Bakr said that he would fight anyone who discriminates between zakat and prayers because zakat is an obligatory right taken from one's wealth. Umar then realized that Allah had opened up Abu Bakr's chest for this battle and knew it was true. This hadith teaches us about the importance of paying zakat as well as being willing to stand up for what we believe in even if others don't agree with us. It also shows us how important it is for Muslims to follow their religious obligations such as prayer and zakat in order for them to be successful in life both spiritually and materially.
