Sahih al-Bukhari 69 (Book 3, Hadith 11) #69
Facilitating Religious Matters

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) advised people to make religious matters easy for others and to give them good news instead of making it difficult or scaring them away.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).

QUICK LESSONS:
Make things easier for others regarding religious matters; Give good tidings; Be kind and gentle when talking about religion; Spread positivity rather than negativity when discussing religion with others .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how we should treat people when it comes to religious matters. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should make things easier for people, not harder. We should give them good news and not scare them away from Islam. He also taught us that we should be kind and gentle when talking about religion, so that more people will be interested in learning about it. We can do this by being patient with those who are new to the faith, answering their questions without judgement, and helping them understand the teachings of Islam in a way that makes sense to them.

In addition, this hadith teaches us the importance of spreading positivity rather than negativity when discussing religion with others. Instead of scaring someone away from Islam by telling them all the rules they must follow or all the punishments they may face if they don’t follow those rules, we should focus on sharing stories of hope and joy found within our faith so that more people will be drawn towards it instead of pushed away from it.
