Seeking Refuge with Allah from Afflictions

SUMMARY: Seeking refuge with Allah from the evil of afflictions is a way to protect oneself.

Narrated Anas: The above hadith is narrated on the authority of Anas thorugh another chain and he said (with the wording) "seeking refuge with Allah from the evil of afflictions".
وَقَالَ لِي خَلِيفَةُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، وَمُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا، حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ بِهَذَا وَقَالَ عَائِذًا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْفِتَنِ‏.‏
