Sahih al-Bukhari 64 (Book 3, Hadith 6) #64
Invoking Allah's Wrath

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent a letter to the Governor of Bahrain, who then sent it to Chosroes. Chosroes tore the letter and the Prophet invoked Allah against them.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas: Once Allah's Messenger gave a letter to a person and ordered him to go and deliver it to the Governor of Bahrain. (He did so) and the Governor of Bahrain sent it to Chosroes, who read that letter and then tore it to pieces. (The sub-narrator (Ibn Shihab) thinks that Ibn Al-Musaiyab said that Allah's Messenger invoked Allah against them (saying), "May Allah tear them into pieces, and disperse them all totally)"

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect others’ property , Obey Allah’s commands at all times

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sent a letter to the Governor of Bahrain, who then passed it on to Chosroes. When Chosroes read it, he tore it up into pieces. Upon hearing this news, the Prophet invoked Allah's wrath against them for their actions. This hadith teaches us that we should always respect other people's property and not destroy or tear things that do not belong to us without permission from its owner. It also teaches us that we should never take something away from someone else without their permission as this is considered stealing in Islam and is a major sin in our religion. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of how powerful Allah is and how He can punish those who disobey Him if He wills so. We must always remember His greatness and strive to obey His commands at all times in order for Him to be pleased with us.
