Sahih al-Bukhari 6612 (Book 82, Hadith 18) #6359
The Inevitable Share of Adultery

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that all humans are prone to committing sins, even if they are unaware of it.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: I did not see anything so resembling minor sins as what Abu Huraira said from the Prophet, who said, "Allah has written for the son of Adam his inevitable share of adultery whether he is aware of it or not: The adultery of the eye is the looking (at something which is sinful to look at), and the adultery of the tongue is to utter (what it is unlawful to utter), and the inner self wishes and longs for (adultery) and the private parts turn that into reality or refrain from submitting to the temptation".

Be aware of your actions; Strive to stay away from sinning; Be mindful of your thoughts & words; Refrain from transgressing against Allah's commands

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that all humans have an inevitable share of sinning, even if they do not realize it. It is explained that the eyes can commit adultery by looking at something sinful, the tongue can commit adultery by uttering something unlawful and the inner self wishes for and longs for such things. The private parts then either turn these thoughts into reality or refrain from submitting to temptation. This hadith teaches us that we should be aware of our actions and strive to stay away from sinning as much as possible. We should also be mindful of our thoughts and words in order to avoid any form of wrongdoing or transgression against Allah's commands.
