The Width of Al-Kauthar

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the Lake-Fount (Al-Kauthar) and said that its width is equal to the distance between Medina and Sana' (capital of Yemen).

Narrated Haritha bin Wahb: I heard the Prophet mentioning the Lake-Fount (Al-Kauthar), saying, "(The width of the Lake-Fount) is equal to the distance between Medina and Sana' (capital of Yemen)".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَذَكَرَ الْحَوْضَ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ كَمَا بَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَصَنْعَاءَ

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith narrated by Haritha bin Wahb, it is mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) spoke about a place called Al-Kauthar. He said that its width was equal to the distance between two cities - Medina and Sana'. This hadith teaches us about how vast and wide this place is. It also shows us how much knowledge the Prophet (ﷺ) had about different places in his time. We can learn from this hadith that we should always strive to gain more knowledge so we can understand our world better. Additionally, it also teaches us to be humble as even though he was a prophet (ﷺ), he still strived for more knowledge which shows us how important it is for everyone regardless of their status or position in life.
