QUICK LESSONS:
Live modestly and humbly despite one’s status as a leader or messenger of God.
EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by 'Aisha, the Prophet's bed mattress was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres. This hadith shows us that the Prophet lived a simple life and did not seek luxury or extravagance in his possessions. He chose to live modestly and humbly despite his status as a leader and messenger of God. This is an important lesson for all Muslims to remember; we should strive to be content with what we have and not seek out unnecessary luxuries or extravagances in our lives. We should also remember that material possessions are fleeting and will not bring us true happiness or contentment in life; rather it is our faith in God that will bring us true peace and joy.
