Sahih al-Bukhari 6397 (Book 80, Hadith 92) #6146
Compassion Over Wrath

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ showed mercy and compassion instead of invoking Allah's wrath on the tribe of Daus who had refused to embrace Islam.

Narrated Abu Huraira: at-Tufail bin 'Amr came to Allah's Messenger and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! The tribe of Daus has disobeyed (Allah and His Apostle) and refused (to embrace Islam), therefore, invoke Allah's wrath for them". The people thought that the Prophet would invoke Allah's wrath for them, but he said, "O Allah! Guide the tribe Of Daus and let them come to us".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show kindness even when faced with opposition or refusal from others; Try our best to understand other perspectives before taking any action against them; Use words and actions to lead people towards the right path; Do not be quick in judging or condemning others for their beliefs or actions.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the mercy and compassion that Prophet Muhammad showed towards those who refused to embrace Islam. Instead of invoking Allah's wrath upon them as suggested by Tufail bin 'Amr, he asked Allah to guide them and bring them closer to him. This teaches us that we should always show kindness and mercy even when faced with opposition or refusal from others. We should never give up hope in guiding people towards the right path but rather use our words and actions to lead them there. It also shows us that we should not be quick to judge or condemn others for their beliefs or actions but rather try our best to understand their perspective before taking any action against them.
