Sahih al-Bukhari 632 (Book 10, Hadith 29) #609
Praying at Home During Journeys in Cold or Rainy Weather

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) instructing the Mu'adh-dhin to announce Adhan and then tell people to pray at their homes on cold or rainy nights during a journey.

Narrated Nafi': Once in a cold night, Ibn 'Umar pronounced the Adhan for the prayer at Dajnan (the name of a mountain) and then said, "Pray at your homes", and informed us that Allah's Messenger used to tell the Mu'adh-dhin to pronounce Adhan and say, "Pray at your homes" at the end of the Adhan on a rainy or a very cold night during the journey".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's instructions for how to perform prayer during a journey in cold or rainy weather. The Prophet instructed that when it was time for prayer, the Mu'adh-dhin should call out the Adhan and then say "Pray at your homes". This means that instead of praying outside in bad weather, people should stay inside their homes and pray there. By doing this, they can still fulfill their religious obligation without having to suffer through bad weather conditions. The values taught by this hadith are obedience to Allah's commands, respect for religious obligations, and consideration of one's own comfort and safety.
