The Importance of Openness and Honesty

SUMMARY: It is important to be open and honest with others, and not to exclude anyone from conversations.

Narrated 'Abdullah: the Prophet said "When three persons are together, then no two of them should hold secret counsel excluding the third person".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ،‏.‏ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ
