The Danger of Painting Pictures

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was angered by the presence of pictures of animals in the house and warned that those who paint such pictures will receive severe punishment on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet entered upon me while there was a curtain having pictures (of animals) in the house. His face got red with anger, and then he got hold of the curtain and tore it into pieces. The Prophet said, "Such people as paint these pictures will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection ".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect Islamic teachings, Be mindful towards one's actions

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by 'Aisha, one of the wives of Prophet Muhammad. It tells us about a time when he entered her house and saw a curtain with pictures on it. He became very angry and tore it into pieces, warning that those who paint such pictures will receive severe punishment on the Day of Resurrection. This hadith teaches us that we should not depict living things in art or other forms as this is considered to be wrong according to Islamic teachings. We should also remember that Allah will judge us for our actions and if we do something wrong, we may face consequences in this life or in the hereafter. Therefore, it is important for us to be mindful about our actions and strive to do good deeds so that we can be rewarded instead of punished on Judgment Day.
